The Barefoot Photography Story
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and graduated from Chicago's Columbia College with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography in the early 1990s.
My interest in photography began at a young age; I was just ten years old when I got my first camera as a birthday present, and I began taking pictures of everything and everyone around me.
My love for photography continued to grow throughout my adolescent years, and while taking a high school photography class, I realized I wanted to be a professional photographer when I grew up. That desire propelled me through the BFA program at Columbia College, and following graduation, I moved to the Seattle area, married my best friend and started a family, putting my dreams of having my own photography business on hold for a time.
My children were my main photo subjects until the Spring of 2001, when I opened Barefoot Photography. I love photography and am grateful to have a job which allows me to live my passion. Thanks for taking the time to find out more about me!
